Director profiles

Shane originates from Redditch and is married with a daughter. Shane has been involved in the Simulation industry for 25 years. With a background in Manufacturing Engineering at Ford, Shane developed early applications of graphical simulation in the automotive industry, using the Fortran based 'See Why' software. Since then, Shane has had a successful career in simulation, most recently being President of Lanner Inc. and a board member and founder shareholder of Lanner Group, the developers of the Witness Simulation product, before establishing Saker Solutions in 2003.

Shane sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Simulation and is a Guest Lecturer on Simulation at Warwick University. Shane has presented at Various simulation conferences worldwide and is on the Programme committee for the Operational Research Society's biennial Simulation Workshop

Shane is a member of the Informs College on Simulation and the Society of Computer Simulation.

Mike originates from Dewsbury, and is married with three children. Mike has been involved in the simulation industry for over twenty years, with experience working at all levels in the industry. Mike was involved in the original development of the Witness simulation system, and with countless simulation projects behind him, he has a detailed understanding of simulation and its application. Before joining Saker in 2003, Mike was responsible for simulation technologies at Lanner Group and prior to that worked for AT&T, Istel and British Steel.

Mike has been Chairman of the AUTOSIM conference, a major simulation event in the Automotive industry, and has written numerous papers on the application of simulation.

Tracy, who is originally from Halesowen, is married with a daughter. Tracy joined Saker at its formation in 2003, having previously worked in the legal profession for Glaisyers and more recently White & Billingham. Within the Saker organisation Tracy is responsible for finance and administration and is also the Company Secretary.
